SPIMH
So Friday morning everything was going according to plan, I brought my brother as well so he wouldn't stay home alone, and so we headed out. I opened the door to step outside, felt the warm sunlight and the cool breeze, and I went down the stairs to the back yard, except I missed the last step. So I fell. It happened so fast! The last thing I knew was that I was on the floor. At first I thought I was going to land froggy style, but then I heard my left foot crack several times, and so I landed facing down.
My hands and knees burned a bit because of the cement, but other than that I thought everything was fine, until I tried standing up. As I was standing up I felt a sharp pain on my ankle and then fell down again. Yup, I had my first ever sprained ankle. Well, actually I didn't know if it was sprained because it never before. I though that the pain was going to stop in a few minutes, so I waited there around 5 minutes until the pain seized. I stood back up and was able to walk kinda good and left to Laura's house.
Notice that I haven't mentioned my brother. As all this happened, my brother was just standing there waiting for me to get up so we can leave. My wails of pain didn't move him once. What a lovable brother I have right?
So we arrived to Laura's house [we had taken the bus there] and once again we headed out, this time to Pete's Fresh Market, and this time walking. My brother stayed at Laura's house saying that he was tired. Of what? I don't know either. It took us approximately 20 minutes to get there [we were walking slow] and starting looking for missing ingredients. It took us about half an hour to find everything we needed and headed out.
We were only able to finish the jjajangmyun before I had to head home. The results? Well note that it was our first time making jjajangmyun AND we haven't even tried it before. So we didn't know how it was supposed to taste. You may be asking why did we even make jjajangmyun without knowing how it should taste, well there is a simple answer. Laura and I love korean dramas and almost in every drama, the characters eat jjajangmyun at least once. It looked so good so we decided to make it. The jjajangmyun came out decent, it was rather plain. I'm not sure how it was supposed to taste but I think it was missing some type of seasoning or something.
So my brother and I started heading to the bus stop. But sadly, we had just missed it. So instead of waiting around 20 minutes for the next one, we called our mom [she was already home from work] to pick us up. We started walking home while our mom got there. At this point I couldn't move my foot as good so I started to limp a bit. We walked 3 blocks before our mom reached us, and so we headed home.
Once at home, it was around 4, I packed the things I was going to need for the sleepover and waited for my dad to come home to eat. I told my mom about my incident in the morning, but I didn't complain about it. Even though I was limping my ankle hadn't hurt all day unless I touched it, and even then I thought the pain was because of the small bruise I had on the left side of my foot. So I just forgot about it. My mom had also told me that she was going to take me to get it fixed, because apparently I had it sprained.
Olivia was going to come over to my house so we could leave at the same time to Laura's. So as soon as she came we left to Laura's house, this time for the sleepover!
When we arrived we headed straight to the basement. We didn't waste any time and we took out the chips, the hot sauce for the chips, Twizzlers, and Gatorade and set the food on the coffee table next to the sofa bed. Once that was done and ready, we unfolded the sofa bed. It was like 6:30ish and we decided to play a quick game before we started on the kimbap. We decided to play the Twilight's saga, New Moon board game. Note of advice, this is not meant for a quick game. It took us around 4 hours to finish it! The good news is, I won!
As soon as the game was over [it was around 10pm by then] we went to the kitchen and started on the kimbap [the jjajangmyun was forgotten]. Now the kimbap was delicious!
1. it was our first time making it
2. we were a bit nervous that it wouldn't come out good because of the jjajangmyun
3. we were hungry
So after finishing the kimbap we went downstairs again and watched She's the Man. It wasn't the first time we've watched the movie, but it kept us laughing all night!

After the movie, the majority [Olivia and Laura] decided, much to my dismay, that we were going to see a horror movie next. In my mind I was freaking out. I already saw my self sleeping with the lights on for several months. I'm not joking either, I get paranoid every time I see a horror movie. When I saw Paranormal Activity, it took me 4 months to finally sleep with the lights off. I have proof too, the electricity bill. Although we did end up seeing a horror movie [8213: Gacy House], we played Scrabble at the same time. So I didn't pay attention to the movie and played, and guess what? I won Scrabble as well!
It was around 5am when the movie ended and so we decided to go to sleep.
After going home around noon [Saturday], I came back expecting to head back out to get my ankle fixed. But I was wrong. We were headed out, but not to get my ankle fixed, it was to a birthday party. So we left at 4pm to the birthday party, and they told me that after the party we were going to get my ankle fixed. Wrong once again. We left at 9 and by then it was too late. By the time we had left the party, my foot/ankle was purple, fat, and in pain. Not even kidding. The good thing was that I was wearing flats and not heals like I usually wear to parties.
We came home and my mom prepared a bucket of hot water with salt and alcohol so I would dip and leave my foot it. It took me a while to leave my foot inside the water because of the hot water, but after a bit it felt comfortable and I was at ease. I rubbed Vaporub after drying my foot and went to sleep.
Today my foot wasn't as fat or purple, but it was a little red. It was better than before though. I was still limping throughout the day but I stayed home all day until around 5pm when my mom finally took me to get my ankle fixed. What I mean by fixed I mean getting a massage. One thing you need to know about me is that I can't handle massages. I squirm and laugh and can't keep still. It was going to be my first time getting a massage. Usually my mom is the one that massages me but just to distress myself out. I was surprised that when I went to get it fixed, I didn't do any of the things above. Well, I did laugh of pain when the massager pulled my leg and cracked it. But after the massage was done my foot felt fine, a little pain but fine nonetheless.
So this weekend was full of new experiences, from new food to new painful situations.
